Free Air Rifle with F-Mark (max. 7.5 Joule)
After 18 months of hard work, the time has finally come: The PTB has given the green light for the F variant of the famous Big Bore air rifle from the renowned manufacturer "AEA Precision Airguns".
While the version subject to WBK in Germany shoots heavy lead bullets with a power of approx. 600 joules, the 7.5-joule "F version" uses round rubber bullets. The F-Challenger thus becomes a training rifle with which one can easily learn to handle the weapon.
Please note: This weapon is NOT a precision rifle, but a training weapon ("T4E", training for serious use). Unlike the lead bullets fired from the "open version", the round bullets are not very accurate. You must expect palm-sized scattering circles at 3 to 7 meters.
The differences between the two versions are:
It is possible to convert the "F gun" to the open version and vice versa. No special tools are required for this. The conversion is - as required by law - neatly documented, here: Erklärung Leistung AEA Challenger
However, the conversion in Germany requires a permit and may only be carried out by holders of a weapons manufacturing license (gunsmiths). The possession of a weapon that has been converted to a higher power than 7.5 joules in this way also requires a permit. In foreign countries, on the other hand, a conversion may be legal, please check the relevant national legislation.
This is an absolutely unique compressed air rifle that has never been seen before in Germany. The gun is huge, extremely heavy and offers incredible firepower in the open version. The impulse of the heavy lead bullet is in the range of a .44 Magnum from a revolver ("Dirty Harry").
